what to wear: to a baseball game
Whether you’ve loved baseball from infancy or are still struggling to understand the game every sports fan is proud to wear their team’s colors. Unfortunately for most female boosters there aren’t a lot of team themed clothing options, unless you like the baggy, oversized look. Luckily for every girl Victoria’s Secret Pink has created a line of MLB (Major League Baseball for the athletically illiterate, like me) clothing for eleven lucky teams. The tees have a girly fit and on every piece there’s sure to be a V.S. Pink Dog hidden somewhere. So get outside, enjoy a game, and support your team in style!
Shirts: I love the take on a classic baseball style tee embellished with, what else, rhinestones! If this brazen quote isn’t quite your style, the navy v-neck with your team’s logo on the front corner is timeless.
Hat: Even if you’re not on the field, hats are practically a requirement at a game. You can always go with a plain old baseball cap or spice it up with a fedora. A great one is from Urban Outfitters (not shown) which has a great vintage look with a simple black ribbon and decorative bow.
Jeans: If you’ve ever been to a sporting event you are already aware how uncomfortable the seating can be. For you sports newbies these jeans are your lifesavers, and will protect you from the terror of the bleacher seats, especially in the middle of summer. These boyfriend style jeans have a relaxed fit that will be oh-so accommodating after your hot dogs and beer.
Sandals: Most stadiums are full of precarious stairs and slopes, so leave the heels at home. Instead opt for some great girly sandals, like these Kenneth Cole sandals with flower embellishments. The turquoise colored gems add the perfect touch.
Earrings: You’ll be so busy jumping, cheering and yelling that you don’t want jewelry that will get in the way. Stick to some simple studs, these sweet bows will add just the right amount of sparkle to your look.
Bag: If you are an avid bag aficionado, like myself, I must warn you of the damage that can befall your precious purse at sporting events. These include spilled beverages and sticky floors. With this in mind the best way to keep your necessities close at hand is a wristlet. Obviously not as much stuff can fit into a wristlet but the important things; phone, I.D., money, and maybe a lip gloss usually do. This large wristlet from Kate Spade has a great weathered look in light gold. The cowhide material is easy to maintain and it’s versatile enough to take almost anywhere.

Besides the VS Pink line, Alyssa Milano has a line of female sports clothes as well. Here’s the link: http://www.fandalia.com/
I like everything except the footwear. If you have been to a big league-or even minor league game- the stadium floors under the chairs can be nasty, not to mention standing in crowds to get in where people can be rude and pushy. I’d protect my feet with cute sneaks or flat canvas shoes.
Thanks Ricki, I agree this look could work just as well with low-top canvas sneakers like converse’s or ked’s.
