If you’re a rectangle or hourglass and looking for the perfect interview suit that you can break up and wear multiple ways — and travel in without worrying that it’ll wrinkle — then BCBG has a great and affordable contender for you to consider.
The black pencil skirt works perfectly paired with the one-button jacket or separately with a simple blouse or button-down that is belted at the waist, or as shown with a more casual yet still structured, cardigan.

I really like the suggestions-but I would skip the sandals-as you say, could be risky. You could opt for a stylish and classic boot for this time of year.
