what to wear: independence day
For those of you in the US, our national holiday full of barbecues and fireworks is around the corner. It’s my favorite holiday because it’s a day when friends and family come together to play, eat good food and listen to music. The party continues on into the evening with a wonderful fireworks show, whether it be in your own backyard or if you’re in San Francisco, by the Golden Gate bridge.
Every year for as long as I can remember, Old Navy releases Fourth of July tees for men, women
and children
. I know some families who make a tradition out of getting their tees for the big day. At $5 each, it’s a fun way to show your spirit but I would hurry — these sell out super fast. Here’s something casual to wear as you enjoy the day’s festivities:
- Rachel Pally cinch back vest
layered over a July 4th tank (in stores)
- Bop Basics Crop Sash Pant
, these 100% cotton pants will keep you cool and stylish. For $85 they come in navy, white and stone.
- Dress up your feet with these leather flip-flops by Bernardo
- For the evening, throw on a drapey cardigan
in navy.
