a hem tip that’s worth remembering
There she was on the Muni (SF’s version of a subway) and she looked amazing. Fabulous black pants, pointy-toe boots and a hip jacket. All eyes were admiring her style.
Then she stood up.
One pant leg was about and inch shorter than the other.
“Dangit!” you mutter to yourself, “she was sooo close!”
The next time you get your pants hemmed, remember this little tip: make sure to have the tailor double-check that your legs are the same length. There are quite a few of us out there who have one hipbone higher than the other and it makes one leg shorter. The reasons are so varied – perhaps you ran a lot, or your body is finding itself settling a bit – but it will make a big difference if you have both pant legs checked the next time you find yourself at the tailor.
