what to wear: visiting the museum - inv triangles

An exhibit you’re just dying to see has finally made its way into your town.  You’ve managed to snatch a free day from work to enjoy a bit of culture, but don’t know what to wear for your day off.

Here’s a creative little outfit for those who want to bring art to life, but is especially flattering for inverted triangles.  This fun geometric print dress by Marc Jacobs is perfect for inverted triangles with its detailing on the lower half of the body taking away the focus from the broader upper torso.

The volume of the dress and the pseudo drop waist helps to elongate the body and draw the attention of the eyes downward.  A great U-neck like this one is very complimentary to an inverted triangle silhouette.

Add some comfortable flat sandals and a bangle for pizazz, and you’re set to take in the arts.  Don’t forget a roomy tote like this one by Loeffler Randall for the information pamphlets and camera.
