how to create a polished outfit
Here’s a simple trick for adding polish to your outfits that doesn’t involve accessories: wear all one color from head to toe. Dress monochromatically. Not just any color, mind you (red will not have the same effect.) You want to wear a classic neutral, like the two outfits pictured below.

These are from a Fall 06 Escada catalog I received. However, plaid is always easy to find in Fall and there will be lots of it this coming season. You will be sure to find something similar at a place like Ann Taylor or Banana Republic.
